The Collegiate Group is an independent educational consulting company committed to developing a custom college search designed to fit the individual needs of each student, assisting those students and their families as they navigate the admission, financial aid, and enrollment processes. 

 

Designed for Sophomores or Juniors, The College Fit Consultation consists of an initial 90-Minute Meeting detailing the college planning timeline and introducing key factors in the college search process. During this meeting students will gain access to Portico Search and begin the process of narrowing their scope. The Collegiate Fit Consultation will then include up to two additional 30-minute consultations as a student whittles their list down to the schools where they will ultimately apply.

 

The auction winner will work directly with the founder and president of The Collegiate Group, Brian Nigg. After graduating from Coe College in 2005 with a Bachelors of Arts in Computer Science and English, Brian has dedicated his career to higher education, having advised thousands of families throughout the various stages of their college search.

 

Previously, Brian has served as the Assistant Director of Admissions & Operations at Coe College (IA), the Senior Associate Director of Admission at Creighton University (NE) and Director of Admission at the College of William & Mary (VA).  With experience in a small liberal arts school, a midsized comprehensive university, and a "Public Ivy," Brian has developed keen insights into what colleges and universities look for in applicants and how important fit can be in a student's overall success.
